Il semblerait que mon blog soit pirater pour vous emmener ailleurs, un endroit que je ne cautionnes pas. Je vais voir ce que je peux faire. Mais si je n'y arrive pas, je vais devoir "déménager" vers un nouveau blog.

The Pin-up... La pin-up...

Hello, everybody ? Still some people around ? OK then ! I just finished this pin-up for a friend in France for a collective. I don't know if it will be used, published or part of an exhibition for the coming comics book convention in Angoulême, in France in 2013. But I did it.

Blue pencil on paper, then scanned, and inked and colored on computer. Inked using Manga studio and colored using photoshop.

Salut tout le monde ? Y a encore des gens qui passe ? Bon, ben OK alors ! Je viens juste de finir cette pin-up pour un copain en France pour l' ADBD. Je ne sais pas sice dessin sera utilisé, publié ou fera part d'une exposition pour le prochain salon de la BD d' Angoulême en 2013. Mais je l'ai fait.

Crayon bleu sur papier, puis scanné, encré et coloré sur ordinateur. Encré avec Manga studio et coloré avec photoshop.

Alors voilà, je suis dans ce meeting où nous sommes en train de discuter de ... quand soudain, ils se mettent à parler en cantonais... alors je me suis mis à dessiner...

And from the very first one ( previous post ) to the latest ones... Here are some illustrations I was asked to do to go with some articles in the coming issue of "The Pulse ", my company's e-magazine. The first drawing is about corruption ( and more specifically about leaking informations. And the second one is about to try to find some more greener solutions to everyday office life.

Et on va de ma première illus publiée ( précédent billet ) aux plus récentes... Voilà des illustrations que l'on m'a demandé pour accompagner des articles dans "The Pulse", le e-magazine de ma société. Le premier dessin traite du problème de la corruption ( et plus spécialement le traitement des informations sensibles. Et le second est sur le sujet de solutions pour un environement professionnel plus en respect avec la nature.

Marché africain... African market...

Here is something quite rare: my very first professional published illustration. It is an African market scene. This was for a novel by Jacques Mancip. And it was... Gulps !... back in 1986 ! It took me quite some time to do it, back then. It is pencil and ink.

Voici une vieillerie peu montrée jusqu' à présent: mon tout premier boulot publié. C'est une illustration représentant une scène de marché africain. C'était pour un roman de Jacques Mancip, et c'était en... Houlà... en 1986 ! A l'époque, ça m'avait pris pas mal de temps pour la terminer ! Crayon et encre de Chine.

I would have loved to see the show. They didn't broadcast it here in Hong Kong. This is one of my favorite TV actor, Scott Bakula ( Quantum Leap, Chuck, Enterprise, Men of a certain age,... ). He appeared also in some movies and did some voice acting for a cartoon movie.

J'aurai tant aimé qu'ils passent cette série TV à Hong Kong. C'est un de mes acteurs de série TV préféré, Scott Bakula ( Code Quantum, Chuck, Enterprise, Des hommes d'un certain âge,... ). Il a aussi joué dans des films et même prêté sa voix pour un long métrage animé.

ADBD 20th Anniversary... l'ADBD a 20 ans...

Long time ago, back when I was in Fine Arts school in Angoulême in France, I was a member of ADBD ( Association des Dauphins de la BD ), an association helping young artists promoting their work. 20 years already... Time flies... Anyway, Manù, the original association president, contacted me to do a little illustration to celebrate the Anniversary. Here it is !

Il y a longtemps, de l'époque où j'étais aux Beaux-Arts d'Angoulême, j'ai fait parti d'une association d'aide à la promotion de jeunes aspirants dessinateurs de BD, l' ADBD ( Association des Dauphins de la BD )... Comme le temps passe vite... 20 ans déjà... Manù, le président de l'association m'a demandé une petite illustration, histoire de marquer le coup... Et après bien des déboires, la voici !
