Return of the Lanterns... Le retour des lanternes...

Well, here it is: this is the mid-Autumn Festival coming again... with the mooncakes and the lanterns. For the ones who don't know the story... I will tell it in another post (HAHAHA !). Suffice to say that this is the season when you are stuff with some mooncakes (Cakes with the yog of an egg round like the Moon)... Quite full-filling stuff! And also, when the kindergarten teachers asked the parents to do a home-made Lantern for there kids. I did it for Delphine, and this year is the turn for Erwan. So, this is my "entry" this time. And yep, there is even a little light... A piece of art I tell you!

Oui, c'est le retour du Festival de la mi-Automne, une tradition chinoise, avec ses gateaux de Lune (à cause du jaune d'oeuf cuit en forme de...lune ! HA !) et des lanternes. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas la tradition, j'en parlerai dans un autre poste ! (HéHéHé !). Juste pour vous dire que c'est le retour des gateaux étouffe-chrétiens. Et aussi celui des lanternes faites maison que les maitres et maitresses des maternelles demandent aux parents de faire pour leur progéniture. J'ai fait ça 2 fois pour Delphine, et mainenant, c'est au tour d'Erwan.
DOnc, voici la lanterne 2007 ! Et oui, il y a même une petite ampoule... C'est tout un art, j'vous dis !

Yes, so much has happened in all this time I didn’t really updated my blog. Work, of course, but a lot of personal matters as well. Anyway, I am going to try to update soon. Maybe with some pictures from a recent week-end on a cruise boat “ à la Love Boat “. Alas, no Captain Stubing…

Oui, ça fait un bail que je n'avais pas écrit quelque chose sur le blog. Mais beaucoup de choses se sont passées depuis, qui m'ont tenu loin de l'ordi. Le travail, bien sûr, mais tout un tas de trucs persos aussi. M'enfin ! Je vais essayer de revenir aux bonnes habitudes d'écrire un peu plus souvent. Avec quelques photos d'un récent week-end sur un bateau de croisière, façon " La croisière s'amuse ". Hélas, pas de capitaine Stubing à l'horizon.

It is a little bit special today, as I am in a cyber-café in Bordeaux for my eye medical thing. Everything is fine for the moment. Access to computer very limited. Will be back to you soon with some new postings, maybe with some photos and vidéos...


C'est un peu spécial aujourd'hui, puisque je vous écris depuis un cyber café à Bordeaux, où je suis pour mon petit truc à l'oeil. Tout ce passe bien pour l''instant. Donc vous comprendrez que j'ai un accès internet plutôt limité. Je serais de retour avec des nouveaux postes bientôt, avec des photos et de la vidéo... peut-être!

Almost there... Presque...

I am that close to go on vacation. It is not the moment to have some health troubles. And yet, yesterday night, I have had some troubles. I have a sensitive stomach ( which is why I have to be careful on the spicy food and beer and alcohol ), but if you add some stress, not enough rest and even the tiniest of spicy snack... Well, surely you can expect something to happen. And it happened yesterday night. I went to see the doctor this morning. I am going to monitor this closely and if it become too serious, maybe there is something more worrysome.
Nice way to start the holidays, uh?


C'est presque les vacances pour moi. C'est pas le moment de tomber malade.Et pourtant, hier soir, c'est arrivé.
J'ai un estomac sensible (ce qui explique pourquoi je dois faire attention avec la nourriture épicée, la bière et l'alcool ). Mais si on y ajoute un de stress, pas assez de repos et un zest de snack un peu trop épicé ( je craque facilement sur les snacks )... Et bien, on peut être sûr que quelque chose va arriver. Et hier soir,...j'y ai eu droit !. Je suis allé voir le docteur ce matin. Je vais surveiller la situation de près et si ça devient un peu plus constant, peut-être il y a quelque chose de plus sérieux et inquiétant...
Un chouette moyen de commencer les vacances, hein ?

Few more days to go... Plus que quelques jours...

Four more days before the vacation. I just cannot wait. I have one problem: I still don't know where I will sleep on my night in Bordeaux ! And the luggages are not ready ! And I will be alone with the kids during the trip ! And...oh my, I am starting already to feel stressed about my holidays!

Plus que 4 jours de boulot et après, les vacances. Je suis si impatient. Je n'ai qu'un seul problème majeur: je ne sais toujours pas où je vais dormir pendant ma nuit à Bordeaux ! Et les bagages ne sont pas encore commencés ! Et je serais tout seul avec les enfants pendant le trajet en avion ! Et je....Argh !... Je commence déjà à me faire un sang d'encre par rapport à mes vacances !
